From Como with love…

I’ve been aware of the Concorso event, and obviously it’s been on my bucket list of places/events to visit. When I reached out to BMW Hungary and told them about my plans visiting the event and asking if this is something we could do together, the event being sponsored by BMW and BMW Group classic… They proven to be really positive and provided me with a proper “long-distancer” in the form of a X1 18d S-drive.

Yes there might be better or more exciting cars in BMW’s line up that we could have taken, but this little SUV proven to be a great asset around the whole trip to Lake Como…

We traveled to Italy on Thursday, we’ve been hoping that we could enter the villa’s on Friday capturing some of the unpacking etc. …unfortunately we were wrong, as rules gotten stricter over the years to protect exhibitors etc. This way our Friday was more about trying to get familiar with the location, taking a few snaps of the surrounding and eating delicious and healthy food, plus spotting cars all around the city and the owners/media parking.

Then things got more interesting as the main event approached on the other day…but to make sure it’s not an easy start the rain started to fall…which to be honest made a really nice atmosphere and looking back at the images it actually brought a little extra spice to it.

Lots of nice people and unbelievable scenery as well as line up with cars.

As the weather eased up a little bit we continued to get lost in the motoring extravaganza even more. People all around were really open, it was easy to chit-chat and get to know stories about the event, the cars and everything in-between.

For those who do not know the event is taking place at two villas simultaneously. One is Villa d’Erba while the other one is Villa d’Este. Este is a more closed and less open to public event, while Erba is more for the crowds especially on Saturday since all the main exhibition is moving over on Sunday morning…but more on that later on. Meanwhile here is a selection of images from Villa d’Erba from Saturday afternoon.
