The Festival of Speed is renowned for its unique blend of history and cutting-edge technology. This year, the event showcased an impressive line-up of both historic and modern vehicles, and BMW Group Classic was at the forefront of it all. Their presence highlighted the brand's rich heritage and passion for performance. It was exhilarating to shoot iconic models that have defined motoring history.
This time around it was sort of a re-union, since it's been 3 years when I had the chance to work together with the same team, here on the very same ground. Back than it was one of the most influential experiences for me, especially since the team itself was great. Luckily we were able to leave it where we left...the dream team has assembled to provide content for BMW Group Classic to their social channels, almost live during the event.
Working closely with BMW Group Classic allowed me to access exclusive areas and get up close with some of automotive history's driving legends as well as with a wide range of legendary machinery.
This time around I still had the Canon R3 and the RF100-500 from Fotoplus with me, thanks to which I was able to capture these images from one of my fave spots, the one in front of the start line of the hill climb. The drift pilots made sure we had enough smoke that was pierced through by the sun. Speaking of the sun, the weather was nothing you'd expect in GB, warm and sunny all around!
As the event wrapped up, I found myself reflecting on what an incredible weekend it had been. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is more than just an automotive event; it’s a celebration of culture, history, and the unbreakable bond between people and their love for cars. My experience working with BMW Group Classic enriched this!
